Look at our recent intakes and if it is not on there come to the shelter to see if the dog/cat is there.
If your pet is lost be sure to fill out a lost report with all three lowcountry shelters. Always check the shelter at least once a week for a lost pet. Bring a flyer and photo to post on our lost and found boards. Shelters can be a very busy place and it may take days before staff make the connection.

If you found a pet, walk the pet around the surrounding area and ask neighbors and knock on doors and ask if they have ever seen the pet before or if they know where the pet belongs. Post to lost and found pet pages on facebook and lost and found websites. Look for tags collars with name plates for owner info. Take the pet to a local vet or shelter to be scanned for a micropchip.
If all else fails you may bring the pet to the Berkeley Animal Center.
