ADOPTION HOURS & PROCEDURES
Adoption hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 1p.m. – 5 p.m.
We recommend you bring the entire family when you are looking for a new pet. If you have a dog at home, please bring them along so our trained staff can introduce them to your new pet to make sure they are a good match. All adoptable animals come spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea preventatives, and tested for heartworms/FeLV/FIV.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Thank you for adopting a pet from Berkeley Animal Center! Please allow time for your new pet to adjust to their new home. The 3 Days, 3 Weeks, 3 Months Rule is a great guideline for what to expect when you bring your pet home for the first time. Every dog is different and may have their own way of adjusting, but it may take up to three months for your new pet to be completely comfortable in your home.
